Not much violence; it's British, after all. Though one of the episodes has some surprisingly grotesque stuff, so you might want to skip the one with the carnival.

No Nero Wolfe yet! Soon, I hope.

Oh, I saw those on PBS ages ago. Nice historical mysteries, yes. Ripe for a Jeeves & Wooster crossover.

'Twasn't me that recommended them, but I remember enjoying them very much. As I'm wont to do with anything that involves Peter Davison and Diana Rigg.
