Why wouldn't we have a Student group? There have to be some characters under 18 after all....

Are we going to have a "professors" group or will they just fall into one of the other adult groups?

also: I actually like the joke banner...XD

I was going to post this as a reply to your reply in the last round of comments, but decided this was probably a more appropriate place for it. ;)

If you're still iffy about the Student group, you could always put an age limit on it. Say, no one younger than sixteen? That way, we won't have any student charries who are too young to take part in OOTP/DE affairs. Draco was 16/17 in HBP, wasn't he? And he was acting on behalf of the DEs, so the Student category would not only be plausible, the age stipulation would keep it more in line with canon.

Ohh...Hi. I'm smart. I see why the no student group thing now ;)

I like Breena's idea about the age stipulation...Of course, it might also be useful to have a *few* student chars younger than that, or do we just want them to be NPCs?

Speaking of which, is this going to be a Hogwarts-based RP or a general-wizarding-world RP? If the Hogwarts one, then we have to have students/professors. If general-wizarding-world, then we don't even really need to bother about Hogwarts [aside from a few things]. I think the best way would be to have about an even amount of both....

I don't mind haveing younger students, I just don't want them 'wandering'. Anyone under the age of 17 would be confined to Hogwarts for many months of the year, and I don't want to end up in the position of having to pop into threads and remind RPers that their 13/14 year old witchlet can't obliterate a toom full of adults and get their homework done in one night.

Well, not unless they're on angel dust. :P

I like Bree's idea...I'll admit I voted no on student group but if we do have older students around 16 years or whatever, I like that. If they're any younger they're just locked up in Hogwarts all the time, which isn't that fun, but the older they are the more roaming allowance they have.

The banner actually made me giggle.
