You heard it here... second. Through a total lac of anything resembling a life I have been given time to revive the days of HPU with some of it's old members. I've invited those I can find, though how many people know where their community invites page is is beyond me ( Read more... )

FE!!!!!!!!!!

question 1 and 2: since I have no clue how to do anything with a forum or which would be a good provider I'll let those you know better to answer those....

do you still have a member list of the members? Could you send out a general e-mail to everyone that HPU is coing back? Could you open it up to a few like Bree did to PDU at first to get it's feet wet?

Could I ask one more question?

Can you give me the lick to HPU?

Thanks

love the avatar!

And you can lick it as much as you like!!

We have a member list, but the e-mails we have for the old members are all two to three years old. Will try them though. ^_^

1) Yes, because RPing on LJ isn't nearly as clean-cut as RPing on a forum.
Another option would be to RP in chat rooms [IRC or php or something]. I don't know what everyone else would think of that though.

2) No clue.

3) I vote we handpick people. HPU wasn't quite the same with all the random strangers wandering around, not all of whom were actually good RPers....

4) Ehm...Not really in contact with any old HPUers so I don't know...

5) Well, this is part of why I suggested the chatroom RP...It's true that there aren't records to go back and see what's going on, but it does help with the frozen RPs in that the RP will probably finish before the person gets offline. Plus I'm on one site that does chatroom RP and it's a cool way of doing things. This may be entirely impractical for us though.

I have no idea how to enforce replying to RP though....

Chat room RP would be impractical because of all the differnt time zones we cover. At the moment we have people in GMT, EDT, SST, PST and MET. Which are time zones. ;)

So, when I'm going out to work, Shin is getting ready for bed, and you're still asleep!

I'm completely happy for 'outside' RP to go on if you want to IRC it and post a transcript on the forum so other members know what you've been up to and you have it to refer back to. ^_^

don't forget CDT...;)

Haha, yeah. I posted that and then thought "but wait, time zones = messy"...haha.

Your idea is a good one :)
