Okay guys, we have three chapters due, and no chapters posted. This is the same thing that's happened before, and I'm guessing it will happen again.

So.

I need comments, do we want this community to go on? Because we need chapters posted on time if it's going to work. And there doesn't seem to be any point chasing up people, if they're not going ( Read more... )

I still think it would be great for this community to continue. I'm sure there are some people out there who are still willing to contribute.

I think part of the problem might be the scheduling itself. It might be that the only way to keep this community active is to allow people to post their chapters whenever they're done. This eliminates both lengthy hold-ups and inopportune deadlines.

Besides, we've all read the books. We can fill in the blanks as needed, no? :)

I personally want it to keep going. And maybe it's because I do this sort of thing for a living, but I see no problem with imposing deadlines. Yes, I'm a part-time student and full-time freelancer, but I've also been a full-time student through both high school and college.

I know it's difficult, but we all want this done, right? And as it's a project reliant on people, it is also reliant on time and scheduling. I, for one, believe deadlines should remain intact, and there should be some volunteer 'understudies' who would be willing to step up in a pinch and get a chapter done. I'd volunteer, personally.

I agree with princesskraehe! If someone can't cut it - move on to a reserve. (Mostly because I'm on that list and I'm soooooo close)
