I may be out of line asking this, but it's been eating at me since finding out about these 'awards' a couple of days ago - Why are there only 7 artist catagories, yet 31 fic catagories?! It seems unfair that artists can't be nominated for drabbles and humour and angst etc.

When we originally came up with the idea of creating an HP Awards community, we were only going to do fanfiction. The other moderator suggested that it would be a good idea to try including other mediums of the HP fandom. Not only were we unfamiliar with art and all that it entailed, we were also unsure about the response we would garner, so we decided to limit the category. Since then someone else has also made a suggestion for other categories, which will be added tonight.

Adding further subcategories to the art category to make it equal to fanfiction is not feasible at this time due to Real Life commitments. If this community proves to be a success (and I hope it will be) then we will definitely increase the categories to make it more equitable and also add more moderators to man the community for the next go 'round.
