The Harry Potter Oscars began two months ago when I saw an ad for the real life Academy Awards on MSN. As I looked at the ad I had the idea that a similar thing could be done in the Harry Potter fandom - an occassion to celebrate the best of this wonderful fandom.  I wasn't sure how the idea would be received, so I decided to run it by
