Here's our new set of challenges for this week! Please note the new rules in the Textual Challenge, and the slight change in the rules for the Thematic Challenge. And really, don't be afraid to ask me questions, even if it looks like someone already asked it but you didn't understand the answer I gave. I'm here to help you!

• You may only use the pictures provided.
  
• Blends/textures/text/animation are allowed.
  
• You may submit up to TWO ICONS for this challenge.
  

Textual Challenge: from Order of the Phoenix

The purpose of this challenge is to make a TEXT-ONLY icon using a line(s) from Order of the Phoenix.

• You must use AT LEAST THREE (3) CONSECUTIVE WORDS from the quote you choose, and they MUST be legible.
  
• You MAY NOT use pictures of an HP character or an object! You may use designs, but not actual images. (if you have questions about this, give me a specific example in a comment to this post and I'll let you know if it's acceptable)
  
• Textures/additional tiny text/animation are allowed.
  
• You may submit up to TWO ICONS for this challenge.
  
• You do NOT have to mention who says the quote in the icon. However, WHEN SUBMITTING YOUR ICON(S), PLEASE MENTION IN YOUR COMMENT THE CHAPTER TITLE THE QUOTE IS IN AND WHO SAYS THE QUOTE!
  

Thematic Challenge: Lovelorn

lovelorn: bereft of love or one's lover; unhappy in love; suffering from unrequited love.

• Make an icon that represents being lovelorn. You may interpret this how you like using the definitions above, so long as it's obvious in the icon.
  
• If you use text in your icon(s), some of it must be legible. The legible word(s) must relate to the word or idea of "lovelorn" in some way.
  
• You may use pictures of any Harry Potter character, INCLUDING FANART.
  
• Blends/textures/additional tiny text/animation are allowed.
  
• You may submit up to TWO ICONS for this challenge.
  
• If you submit an icon using fanart, please state who the artist is in your comment to this post.
  

In all, you may submit SIX icons, two for each challenge.

If you haven't yet, please read the community rules in the userinfo. All winning icons will be nominated at hp_awards. If you do NOT want them nominated, please let me know in your submission. Otherwise, I will go ahead and nominate them.

Deadline for all icons is midnight EST, Saturday July 29th. (clock)
