Yay! Glad you share my taste in ridiculous humor. JKR's characters are so emo and there's so much subtext that this practically slashed itself. Thanks for taking the time to read all these!. :)

JKR's characterisation...always upset me a tad. Every since CoS, where Ginny was a pathetic damsel in distress "Oh! Save me, Harry!" I've been dubious.

However. It creates great opportunities for brilliant fics like this, no? Heh. *loves*

JKR is not terribly consistent with most of the characters - like you said, witness Ginny's inexplicable transformation from shy damsel in distress to brazen seductress. Not to mention Draco's equally bizarre transformation in Book 7 to damsel in distress being saved by Harry. That's why it's so much fun switching the lines with her characters - her way of writing romance is melodramatic, and when you have the guys speaking like that to each other, it reads like typical slash.
