Harry pointed in the general direction of Mrs. Tonks. "That's my godson." He felt a strange but powerful flood of emotion as he uttered those words, as though he'd just caught the Snitch in the Quidditch World Cup, only more intensely euphoric.

Hermione and Ginny both let out an "Oh" of delight and pressed forward, trying, like Harry, to get a better look, while Ron clapped him on the shoulder. "Good one, mate," he said.

I love this scene. It's so perfect. He's so proud and happy that it makes me want to shed tears of joy. After going through so much, there's still this little bundle of joy in the world to make sure they move forward in life.

This was beautiful. I think you conveyed the emotions of grief, concern, guilt and hope really well. I'm sad for Andromeda -- I disliked her yet I understood her. Also, I liked the idea of Harry wanting to go to each funeral and using a Time Turner to do so. It made my heart ache.

Thanks so much for the lovely comment, R. I really enjoyed writing this -- I'm on such a post-DH high still, and having the opportunity to explore Harry's character through his response to the war's aftermath reminded me why he has always been my favorite character. He's such a good kid. *shamelessly adores Harry*

This was absolutely beautiful, Mags. I really felt for Harry. I thought it very much in character for him to feel the need to go to every funeral, and then for him to feel guilty that he'd forgotten about Teddy.
I thought Mrs. Tonks' reaction was very natural for a woman who had lost so much. I'm glad she gave Harry the chance, though.

Well done! *sniffles*

I"m sitting here at my kitchen table bawling my head off. Mags, that was truly beautiful. I also liked the way you characterized Andromeda. She's been through so much in a short amount of time, no wonder she feels uneasy, at the least, at the thought of losing Teddy to Harry. Thank you for this, and again, well done.

Awww, Deena. *hands over a tissue* Andromeda was a hard nut to crack -- I think even more so after having gotten a brief glimpse of her in DH. She must have been absolutely devastated, though, and I like the idea that she and Harry can find a way to comfort each other through Teddy. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this. Thanks for commenting!

You are very welcome. I play Andromeda in a post-DH RPG...Beyond the Hallows(on LJ)...and I am really liking her. Check it out and tell me what you think!

Very beautiful. As someone who has no idea what the point of a godfather is or any religious practices or baptisms or whatever, I didn't understnad some of it, but it was so beautiful. *tear*

I can appreciate how the whole concept of a godparent might be confusing if you weren't brought up in a tradition that uses them. I tried not to focus too much on the religious aspect of it for that reason. I'm glad to know that you were able to appreciate this all the same. Thanks for commenting!
