The flashes of memory and the strong visuals (like Grawp's trail of destruction, the quietly sucking Dumbledore card) really pull this thing together nicely.

I loved the whole thing, it's so well written. I can't wait to read it again.
“I haven’t been to see you since I attended your -” he hiccupped. “Ceremony after Sixth Year. A lot’s happened since then. Voldemort’s taken care of. The Order’s disbanded and gone its separate ways. But I’m sure you know all that already.”
That made me most sad, definitely nostaligic... especially the underlined bit, makes me think of our class... that was my world.
It must be hard seeing people that are no longer with you in moving photos/cards/etc. And I like the bit about Nick. =)
