Harry doesn't know any locking charms strong enough that alohomora won't open them? What kind of an Auror does he think he is, anyway?

If Hermione is teaching, then that Alohamora will be pretty powerful. And come on, if the door guarding the door guarding the puzzles guarding the Sorceror's Stone was able to opened by an exceptional eleven year old's Alohamora- And if Harry got the license to use spells the likes of which only the Department of Mysteries has seen (protecting the most powerful force ever!), he would be admitting defeat and James' curiosity would be piqued... And who knows when that'll end!
