Wow, I really like your George. He stays so true to form, so canonically consistent. He's grieving and scarred, but still irreverent, brash, and crazy. I love it. His reasoning for not going back to the Burrow made me ache, but I think is so true. I really feel like this is one of the best depictions of a post-war/post-losing Fred JKR version (as opposed to fandom version which tends to alter him a bit) of George that I've seen. I very much enjoyed it. Also liked Angelina's inability to fly-- seems like a very real demonstration of grief. Nice touch. And loved this: Reason deserted me completely. It was never one of my strong points, anyway. lol, so George!

That worked really well - two grieving people together, and I liked that Angelina knew that he was concerned about her not seeing him as himself. Thanks for sharing it.

OMGSqueee! Thank you thank you mysterious author! Angsty-but-hopeful is such a tough thing to write believably, and so wonderful to read when it's done right :D :D :D

I did die to hug my brother again. What an unhappy twist of phrase.
Oh, ouchy.

Your pranks gave us hope, one girl wrote; it persuaded me to finally leave my studio upstairs and unlock the shop's door.
Yeah I remember reading that JKR had said George returned to his shop, and wasn't entirely sure how he would've made himself do it. I could totally see him deciding to do so after a simple, heartfelt letter.

She raised an eyebrow. "This is one of those Hallmark moments when I state the obvious and you're charmed by my wit?"
::snort:: Very nice :D :D :D

And Angelina not able to fly any more is all achey, but rings so true. She would totally be the type to think she could and should carry on and go to a game right after the war was over - and then be forced to accept her grief despite herself.

"At least, it wasn't supposed to happen like that."
Brilliant line! And ( ... )

Wow. This is just amazing. Amazing. I'd love to read the rest of the story. The further development of their relationship as written by you. Any hope of that ever happening? There are so many good things about this that you'd think I was gushing if I went on about them all. Thanks so much for sharing your work.

Oh wow, this was lovely. I love your George and Angelina. But so sad and wonderful and yet still able to hope. I love the whole sad and mournful feel of the whole bit. I like that She's with him because she wants to be, not because she's replacing Fred.
