Revamping the awards has been a six-month-long debate between myself and the other committee members. The issue at hand is that we've been told the awards are too big in general, and fans are only going to vote for their favorite relationships anyway come the end of the day. Thank you for your hard work. I do think/hope the category work best to reflect what is happening in fandom. Plus, I can't wait for nominations to come around!

I have two suggestions - I would use the full name of the ship eg Harry / Ron, rather than "Harron". I think it makes the awards sound more professional.

Secondly, could you introduce a poll with tickable options, to enable people to easily vote for the fic they liked in each category? I found voting comparatively time consuming last year, and I think many people may simply not bother.

I agree! I found voting to be very tiresome, and I never ended up voting even though I nominated stories. I'd like to see those wonderful polls that LJ has created be put to use.

I think the groups make a lot of sense. Thank you to the mods for all the thought and work they've put into this; it's not easy herding fandom cats!
