Excellent. I've always thought that the Dark Lord would have acquired some sort of blackmail material on all his Death Eaters, and, the way you wrote it, I can definitely see this happening. I also love the way you describe Severus on the train - he seems so...haunted, but somewhat oblivious to how haunted he is. Wonderful story!

Funny that you mention the train -- it was actually a scene I've had in my head for months, and no matter how many times I reformatted this story I just had to include it.
Glad you liked it and Thank you for the kind feedback! : )

Good gods this is a lovely, evil piece of work. The pace and storytelling are wonderful and the hotness is puddleworthy. Great job.

Thank you! I always love it when my work is called evil (I don't mean that sarcastically, I really do enjoy it). Glad you enjoyed it!

To add to the praising descriptiors -- this is so smart!

Okay. speaking of smart, I just completely misread your comment as meaning something else entirely, I'm so sorry! I just got back from work and I guess my brain isn't working at the moment. Let me try again: Thank you! That's really flattering -- I try hard to make my writing intelligent, from an emotional perspective and in a technical sense. It's so nice to hear when I've been successful. Thank you again!

This was wonderfully written. The way you've book-ended the fic with Severus on the train was particularly nice.

One more year, just one, and then he will be free to take his new, rightful place.

great line, hitting all the right notes for me.

I was a bit anxious about the format b/c I changed it about ten times. Good to know it worked : ) Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
