Thank you!
I was aiming to show severus as human, also to capture a particular moment. I'm so glad you like it and it worked. :D

Simply gorgeous. Such a great interpretation of the card, and then such a great artistic representation of the interpretation! Snape is the ultimate catspaw for his masters, trying to protect on the one hand and be a weapon on the other.

This card is so intriguing, too. He has set fire to something and is injured, it seems, and yet his wand in hand he cannot yet rest.

Gorgeously done!

Thank you. I'm so relived that the interpretation was OK.

He has set fire to something and is injured, it seems, and yet his wand in hand he cannot yet rest.

I can't tell you how pleased i am that you get that. one of the aspects that kept repeating itself when i read further into the card was the sense of duty asociated with it. it screamed Snape to me.

Lovely - I adore the play of light in this as Snape stands illuminated in the shadows, as well as his enigmatic expression.

Wow. The look on Snape's face is so haunted, and the use of color draws you to it.
And Fawkes overhead...its like what would have happened if Remus and Harry had caught up to him as he ran from the tower...

It's weird, i re-read the books recently and while i was uploading the image I was reminded of that chapter too. I had in mind that this scene was from my own fluffy, happy version of book seven in which Snape is revealed as a goody and doesn't die. (hence, guardianangel!Snape as opposed to angel!snape :D)
