I like the tenderness of her expression. And the symbolism of the wheatfield - the Empress as Earth-mother, Demeter, the growing wheat ready for the coming harvest... *shivers*

Greatly appreciated. Glad that you read the card interpretation so thoroughly to get a better idea of the symbolism. This has been a relly educational experience for me too, reading about all the cards in hp_tarot so far! I feel like a tarot expert.

Oh I didn't read the interpretation until after I'd commented - which is an even greater compliment to your work - making the symbolism clear to those who aren't totally familiar with the cards is a great achievement (though I have been reading tarot for over 30 years I sometimes forget stuff).

I am more proud of the interpretation than I am of my own ability to draw it. sadly am out of practise... but yeah, I really thought Narcissa IS the Empress. Maybe JK even had such a meaning in mind, someone like Demeter, when writing Narcissa's character. Thanks!
