Oh God, you've ripped my heart into a million pieces. I waited to read it all until this part came out because I knew it would be unbelievable to read all at the same time. I just...can't even put into words how you made me feel about Draco - I don't think I've ever felt so heartachingly sorry for him, or so happy for him. Ever. *sobs again* You always have this ability in your writing to portray emotion so raw and SO well, and it seems none of the stops were left unpulled for this fic.

This was deviantly entertaining. I liked Draco's cluelessness and immaturity. It reminded me of Snape trying to talk to him in HBF and Draco accusing him of trying to steal his glory. Poor pet, at least it worked out in the end. Nice work.

Yes! In a lot of fics that I set 3-4 years later I grow him up a lot, but here I thought it should be more as if he's stunted in his emotional growth at 17, trapped in the life that he is. He jumps to so many wrong conclusions, but lucky for him, Severus and Harry really do both want to do right. It's just, you know, getting rid of Voldemort and the Death Eaters is rather more important than Draco Malfoy... :P

OMGess!

I could just cry a thousand tears for our poor, dear Draco. But he survived it all, without a clue as to how strong he was. I think it was in part two that he tells Harry he, Draco, could never compete with that...bravery?

And the suffering was so heart-searing. Both by our boys and by nameless others:

I have no idea if they kill the Muggle later, Obliviate him, or just return him to his normal life with a shameful memory that he will never, ever be able to tell another living soul about.

I was floored by this (and ceilinged, too!):

There is no charm on the collar

I loved the wizarding coup with Snape as MOM-brilliant! As was the hexed collar plan. So cleverly, subversively clandestine. A wonderful tale of angst and woe and loss and love and triumph.

I would place "liked" firmly in the catagory of "understatement."

Your Draco has completely sucked me in. I'm a convert. Hallelujah! I see the light (blond, fearie-like hair)!
