Oh! How striking! I love the broken heart of the flower, and Tom Sr. prefering his own reflection to the darkness that he thinks he is leaving behind. There's so much in this picture -- wow.

Merope is such a sad little rapist, isn't she? (Or however you categorize what she did.) I love both their postures, and the shadows and dinginess here.
