Terry opened the door to Mike’s flat, his mind in turmoil. He had to diffuse the situation going on between the twins and Mike and Lisa and now all he could think about was Mandy. Why on earth did she text him? Where was she living? Why was she contacting him after all this time? Why, why, why?! He took a deep breath, more aware than ever of his ( Read more... )

Mike was sitting on the dusty cement floor at the foot of his bed, his arms outstretched to either side. He wore a black button down shirt hanging open, sleeves rolled up to reveal a word painted on either forearm. LOVE smeared down his right arm, stopping just before a hot pink boa, wove around his wrist, secured him to the leg of the bed. His other arm read, REVENGE. A tangerine-colored boa held him to the left. He was uncomfortable and pissed off. He stretched his leg out, to give his knee a break. The baggy slacks he wore were covered in a chalky powder from the floor. He wondered briefly if it was ash still left over from the fire. Oh how he wished he was perishing in that fire right now....

As the music blared Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, Andy’s camera flashed, blinding the models every few seconds. “Lisa,” she called, “up on your knees.” She moved to the bed where her model was laying on her stomach on the bare mattress. The silk, orange kimono-looking robe draped over Lisa’s body, only her legs from the knees down exposed as she had her heels in the air. Andy lowered her camera and took Lisa’s wrist, helping her up on the bed. The robe hung open in the front, revealing a frilly white slip. Andy moved Lisa to the end of the bed, overtop of where Mike sat on the floor. “Stay up on your knees... hands on the bed rail.” Andy started to back up then added, “Eyes on me,” when she caught Lisa looking down at the heap that was Mike. “And don’t look so innocent ( ... )

Lisa gripped tightly on the rails, palms sweaty purely from nerves. She tried to visualize her facial expressions in her head but that just made her forehead crease in thought, 'Innocent, what?' It wasn't helping that Chriss would periodically come over to fix whatever she thought was not up to her pristine standards, whether it be a wayward lock of hair or the certain way the garment fell on her. Honestly, the most experience Lisa had with having pictures taken of herself was in family portraits, random pictures at Hogwarts courtesy of Colin Creevy, and the few odd pictures she'd take of herself for those muggle social networks.

As Andy continued to take pictures of her and Mike, Lisa couldn't help but ask, "You guys aren't gonna make me wear a bra that shoots off sparks or anything, are you?"

Chriss made a face at Lisa's question, followed by a sound of ridicule. "Really? No." She pulled a strand of hair that was sticking up at the top of Lisa's head and tossed it aside. In any other situation, maybe with another model, Chriss would have grabbed a comb to brush it down than to pull out the piece of hair.

"For Gods sakes stop looking like you're in the middle of an exam. Loosen up." She bent down to address Mike, fluffing the feather boa's on his arms so they're not blocking the view of the lettering, "And you, we said passive smoldering, not setting someone on fire by glaring."

She stepped back behind Andy to let her get to shooting again, the flash bulb going off every ten seconds. Chriss grabbed Jessica's attention to get her portfolio, too distracted by the music and the work before her to even register someone standing in the doorway.
