Wake up call

The room was in shadows as Mike came to in the morning. He didn't need to open his eyes to feel it was still dark. It must be really early. He rolled slightly to his left and felt for his cell phone on the bedside table. Weird, it wasn't there. Oh well, it was early. He needn't get up yet; the alarm hadn't gone off anyway. Lisa could barely register the voice calling out to her, she was trying to cling on to her quickly fading dream where Neil Patrick Harris and David Anders were duking it out for Best Forehead of the Year and the envelope hadn't been opened yet. The voice was calling out to her louder now, followed by light tapping at her own forehead. Lisa responded with an annoyed groan, turning around on the bed to lay on her other side.

"Five more minutes," she mumbled out of reflex, groping for the blanket to cover herself to the top of her head, preserving the warmth around her.

He let her stay covered, it helped hide the truth that he had spent the night cuddled up to his rooommate. He wondered if he should try waking her again or if he should - well, what else could he do? He couldn't shower and dress for the day. She had taken that from him.

"Hey," he called louder.

She let out another groan in protest, she felt drained from exhaustion but her mind was starting to come to. She'll never be able to find out the result from her dream, though as she started to think more on the matter it was obvious who the winner would be.

Lisa sighed, still keeping her eyes closed and still buried under the covers, "What?"

Lisa didn't seem very fazed by the predicament. Mike put his hands on his hips in frustration and replied, "Any reason I'm waking up feeling like a cheap date?"
