Millicent had just Apparated into the manor's sitting room when she heard the rapping on the door. Still in her glamour, she opened the door, hoping it wasn't some stranger coming to call.
"Hello Adrian," she said, giving him a genuine Slytherin smirk. "Please, come in out of the cold and fill me in."
Adrian removed his hood, revealing his dark hair and the even darker circles underneath his eyes. "Well, I don't think anyone knows anything," he informed her, taking the scarf from underneath his cloak and hanging it on the coat hanger before shedding his cloak, as well. "I was suspicious of a few of them, but they've been keeping rather quiet."
"It does take time to find out things about the Department of Mysteries, you know," she replied. "They take their jobs very seriously down there and nothing is ever leaked out."
"Trust me, if it had been that simple, I would have moved before now," she replied. "They must've all gone through some sort of program to resist the Imerpius Curse."
He raised an eyebrow. "I suppose I should have expected that, especially since last time." Adrian took another sip. "No matter, they're all still idiots. We'll get to them soon enough."
"If tomorrow night goes as planned, I don't see why we can't have the Ministry under our control within the next few months," she replied, finishing off her tea.
"Yes, this time we'll have all of the pieces in play instead of just one," she replied, placing her saucer on the tray. She leaned back against the sofa and crossed her legs. "And when it comes time for checkmate, no one will know what hit them."

"Really?" she asked, arching a brow. "Locals or in other regions?"

"I don't think it was anything big. He was a member long ago. It sounded more like reminiscing than a plot, to be honest."
