Kevin stops in to see Lavender

Kevin berated himself as he made his way through the throngs of Diagon Alley. He should have made better plans and stopped into Lavender's before now. His robes were in serious need of something...besides throwing down the garbage shoot

Hearing the bell jingle, Lavender put down her sandwich and left the back room after wiping her mouth. She'd gotten so caught up designing new outfits that she forgot to take her lunch break, so instead she was just quickly grabbing a bite in the back while no one was there.

She walked into the main shop and saw a man about her age stepping in. "Hi," she said brightly. "What can I do for you?"

"I need some new dress robes for work," he replied, glancing about the shop as he spoke. "My old ones have gotten to the point where they simply can't be repaired anymore. Think you could help a guy out?"

"No problem," Lavender said, smiling. "Just follow me." Grabbing her measuring tape and hanging it over her neck, she led him over to the men's section of the shop. "Here is all of the formal men's attire."

"You expect me to pick something out?" he asked, arching a brow. "I'm wearing a brown tie."

[raven_kevin]

"They're a bit loose," he said, looking at himself in the mirror. "Other than that, it's a good fit."

[dressy_lav]

"Loose where?" she asked, walking around him in a circle. "The shoulders, the waist, where? I need some direction here."

[raven_kevin]

"Everywhere?" he said, glancing at her. "These are the first new robes I've tried on in a long time. I usually wear Muggle clothes most of the time."

[dressy_lav]

"Okay," she said, waving her wand. She watched as the shoulders and waistline of the robes shrunk slightly. "How's that?"

Nearly falling out her chair, Lavender waved her wand quickly to shorten the robe. "Sorry, I think the last guy who tried that on was."

"Come on shorty, you've gotta know I'm not that big," he said, rolling his eyes.

Sticking her tongue out, Lavender checked the hems at the collar and wrists. "I don't resize them after people try them on. It's more fun this way."

"And I'm not short," she added. "I'm average height thank you very much."

Kevin rolled his eyes, looking down at himself. "As long as it works, I'm not bothered," he replied. "And you are short compared to me, by the way."

Quickly folding the robes, Lavender placed them in the bag and made the final marks in her ledger. "No problem."

"It was nice seeing another familiar face from Hogwarts," he said, taking the bag from her. "I'm sure I'll be dropping by again seeing as the rest of my robes are in serious need of chucking as well."

[dressy_lav]

"Feel free to come back any time," Lavender said with a soft smile, accepting the coins and putting them in the money drawer. "I'll make sure I have some socks set out for you."

"Gee thanks," he replied, deadpan.
