I'm gonna go for a combination of the 2 . I like the thicker sashing in layout 2 but I like the way layout 1 looks more like a bookcase rather than a series of cubby holes . . . pondering pondering pondering . . . .

Hmmmmmm...what to do-what to do LOL. I think I will probably go with the first one. I like the look of the bookcase :0) I picked up wood grained fabric just for it!!I am not sure what I want to do with the outside border though. I have time to think about it while I do my embroidery. I haven't even started them yet :0P

I am going with the second, but putting a second double shelf (on the second shelf, to the right, to balance with the sorting hat shelf). Damned balance! I am soooooooo excited!

I thought about adding in an extra shelf like that, but in the end decided you all were clever enough that if you wanted to that, you could. ;)

I'm a bit of an IKEA addict. The second one looks like the Expedit range of book shelves....

i think i'll end up doing the something similar to auntypsycho and do option one with thicker sashing
