*shivers* This is such a dark and creepy delight. I love the slow build and how we really don't quite get what's going on big picture. The ambiguity and the unknown factor makes it so much creepier. I like how you mention the fact that it doesn't make sense that the trait was passed on ... but when does magic make sense?! *rubs hands in glee* Oooooh, intrigue! Myrtle was perfect, as well.
