Oh, dear. This was so very bittersweet. Millicent's poem was just so clumsy and so endearing, and her reasoning for liking Hermione was highly effective. And this:

"All right. I'll try it. Somewhere public, like the library, so she can't kill me and hide the corpse without people noticing."

"That's the spirit! I'll wait nearby, in case she muffles your screams!" Ginny grinned, but Hermione didn't really feel too comforted.

Was *brilliant* and made me giggle. Very very nicely done.

Thank you! Ginny is not really scared of anything, which can be a little disconcerting to others. I do empathise with Millicent in some ways, and she does always seem to be putting Hermione in headlocks!

What an absolutely lovely story. I really liked the way Millicent was fleshed out here, and her discomfort with the entire purity of blood thing is so clear, given that she is a half-blood.

Thank you for reading. I didn't know Millicent was a half-blood when I wrote the story, but I did know that she didn't fit in, and wasn't comfortable in her skin.

Thank you! It's the only time I've written Ginny, but I did like the friendship she and Hermione were developing in books 5 and 6, so she seemed the obvious person for Hermione to talk to about this kind of problem.
