I. Absolutely. Adore. This. Story.

I am fascinated by Merope, and you captured her just right, wanting to be a good person but loving Tom way too much. I also loved the details of the love potion, and "Circe reborn so plain and meek."

I also get a vibe of the Persephone story from this, and I'm not sure why--maybe the poppies and snakes?

Wow! Thank you so much for the awesome feedback.

Merope is indeed an intriguing figure. You can't hate her because she's desperate for Tom to love her, but what she's doing is truly horrible.

As for the Persephone myth, I didn't consciously have it in mind, but stuff seeps in all over the place, doesn't it?

Thanks so much for reading and commenting. :)

And the name of Mother is on every forked tongue.

When are we going to get married?

Aaaagghh. So creepy. **shiver** You know that feeling when you find a spider on you, and brush it off, but for hours afterward you feel spiders crawling on you?

Yeah. I think I'll be brushing this fic from my subconscious like a spaz for a few more hours.
