This is absolutely lovely, and yet so heartbreaking that I can't imagine seriously thinking about it because if I do I'm afraid I'll cry. I've also considered Remus to be an (very unfortunately) marginalized character, but to see it put into words, and from the perspective of the often-vaunted MWPP friendship, was painful and wonderful.

Lovely, lovely job.

Thank you. I'm rather angry at Sirius now; I should like to thwap him quite badly. And I should also like to ask him what the hell he was thinking, treating a friend like that.

You write a good ache. The 'I'm trying not to think like this' comes through and hurts as it does. Very very well done. Of course, we've never pegged Sirius for the thoughtful sort.

No, we never have...but getting such a will made, and effecting a transfer of power from a notoriously pureblood family to a halfblood must have taken considerable planning, which makes his actions even worse.

And thank you very much!

**whimper**

Oh, that's awful. I feel like I betrayed Remus for forgetting that part, that he didn't get anything in Sirius' will. Ugh. My stomach is all twisty up, thanks! (But yeah, really excellet story and whimpering and such.)

oh, poor Remus. I loved the "Unless, of course, that boy had never existed at all" part especially.
