Oh, this is fabulous. I love seeing Sirius' doubts, the way he is unsure of Remus. Too often we see Remus as the one who wonders. You do a lovely job of getting inside the head of someone who has money but isn't sure about love.

when Sirius lays a portion of the world at Remus’ feet - which he does manage to do, on occasion.

And that's such a great line.

I think it makes more sense for Sirius to be the one who wonders. He's the one who suspected Remus of being the traitor (well, he's one of the ones who suspected Remus) and Remus seems to have been unaware of the suspicion until PoA.

Oh, wow, wow, wow. I love it. The whole thing makes me just ache. Especially :But the wrong notes and the right words harmonize in Sirius. I read that particular scene about five times before I could tear myself away. Excellent fic.
