( It made sense to Remus that his friend should be named for the brightest star in the sky, and that his name should mean 'scorching one.' Sirius was luminous, and everything he touched seemed to light up, too. )

Embarrassingly, Remus' little ploy in the beginning was drawn from life. When I was eleven and had a crush, all I wanted to hear was other people praising him... I must have been very transparent. ^_^
