...And it's pieces like this that make me wonder, How does she really sit there and write lines like this? It's just - so totally out of the norm and almost random combinations of words, and I suppose it all makes sense to you, because sometimes I think I'm wholly missing it.

That's called inspiration. When I can actually sit down and write lines like this. When I don't need to think about it anymore, when the words just come and the story suddenly, out of nothing, appears on the paper. It makes sense - it's completely in balance, has the right rhythm, purety. Not a word that needn't be there.
The filtered moonlight was added afterwards. And yes, it is.
