One of the few good dialogue-only fics out there. That last line is such a twist. And the hat! THe darling hat! And the talk during the snuggling and groping was so realistic. Loved this.

That's very kind. I tried to make it as realistic as possible, so many sex fics have no dialogue and don't talk about what they doing - whereas in my experience lovers tease each other, talk about their bodily parts and talk dirty a lot.

Thank you. That's why I set the challenge, because they ARE difficult - I've always tried to get the writers to stretch themselves. I attempted to write this with several characters - I cheated myself because it was supposed to be between characters who wouldn't likely be talking, but when it came down to it, I know these boys SO well it's like being there myself (i wish)

Excellent job with the dialogue though, I rather fancied having a secret go at this challenge myself since I love doing dialoge, but I never quite got round to it. I love how you used the lack of narrative to create that brain-explodey sex bit where your imagination goes into overdrive as you picture what they're doing. I shall never quite look at that scene in the film in the same way *snerk*

Thank you for a nice comment. I wanted to do it purely as dialogue, it's very difficult, as I found! (especially when there's action!) I love the idea of them talking in bed, I tend to do it, and Lucius curling himself around Severus and muttering in his ear is an image I had in my head a LOT.

I hope that their friendship is on this kind of level too. Severus needs someone he can talk to like this, let his barriers down and just be the same young man that Lucius has always known. There's a lot of canonical evidence that they are friends - although sadly not lovers, it just takes my warped mind to make them that, so I cling to that evidence madly.

I am glad you like them. I'm taking them with me into the real world, can't ever leave them behind. I owe them too much.
