I cannot believe no one's commented on this yet! Warfic, even AR warfic, is one of my favourite genres, and this is a beautiful example. There are so many things I love about this story - Pansy's attire disguised as immodesty, the mirroring of her relationship with Harry and Draco, the atmosphere of occupied France that you've painted. I think my favourite bit is the last line, though, with Harry apparating to Berlin of all places, because it turns the story on its head so casually.

And I have to mention this line, which is beautifully executed: "he...watches rain fall tears on the faces of the statues that are stone-faced even as the world crumbles."

Wonderful writing! Am off to friend you now, as I've been meaning to do so for a while. Hope that's OK!

Thank you! I'd posted it elsewhere a couple days before this, so I was hoping that's why no one was commenting. ;)

This is one of those fics where I started, wrote the first couple scenes, and then put the last line into the file because, there, that was where it was going.

Definitely ok. :)
