I got this in my email this morning. It actually disturbed me. I don't talk about religion, well at all on here, frankly. I don't discuss my faith. I'm not embaressed by it, I go to church, and I pray, but I keep that private. So yeah, it's weird to make a post like this

Yeah. I've known about this for awhile, and it actually put me off reading the books. I don't mind atheists, but I do mind fundamental evangical atheists.

Thank you. I feel the same way, about both evangical atheists AND evangical Christians. Like I stated, I don't feel comfortable, personally, about openly sharing my faith. I'm very private about it. I have faith and beliefs, I pray, etc and so forth, but I'm not one of those people that try to shove it down other people's throats. It's VERY uncomfortable to me for someone to do that, so why would I do that to someone else. I'm not a preacher, save your sermons, whether you're Buddhist, Christian, Roman Catholic, Islam, Atheist, what have you.

A friend and I discussed the books a few months ago, after that mad movie-meme came out ("What is your Daemon?") - I expressed curiosity about it, and JC said the books are darkly themed and not suited for the genre it was labeled - which is YA (young adult, or teens).

JC also said there were hints of yaoi with the angels. O_o

I must admit that all of this, combined with your link above, only makes me more curious than ever to have a peek at the books. If only to see what makes it so controversial.

Normally I would do the same, but like I said, I don't particularly talk about my faith a lot, and if any of this is true, then I'm prolly gonna steer clear of it. Lemme know how it goes!
