Oh this was brilliant! That last line was just absolutely perfect. I adore the romantic undertones in this, and that it gives reason for Pansy trying to hand Potter over.

Thank you so much, mystery author! I loved it! :)

Oh, this is an interesting take on the reasoning behind Pansy's behaviour that night. I like your Dolohov, too!

Dolohov doesn't normally get much attention in fics: this is the first in-depth look at hime I've seen, and it's a really interesting one. Not at all what I would have expected - I'm glad I read this. Thank you for making me think about him!

Thank you for thinking about him :) I enjoy giving depth to the characters JKR left as flat cardboard cut-outs. I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

It makes a pleasant change to see a more human Pansy than the snobbish caricature who usually inhabits fanfic. You show an interesting constrast between her knawing insecurity and way it manifests in a desperation for action. I particularly liked the detail of how she felt safer in the HQ that is dedicated to destruction than in the school where students are supposed to be protected.

Your Antonin also is intriguing - he comes across as being rather old-fashioned and chivalrous, as befits someone who is fighting for a past way of life. I'm not sure whether he cares about Pansy in a romantic way, or just wants to make sure a female child is safe, and the ambiguity fits well with the unsettled tone that pervades the fic. Nice work!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it and that I could bring some more life into Pansy. Tony is certainly one of those people who hasn't lost sight of what he's fighting for and the honor and chivalry that goes into the "old, traditional ways." I enjoy the ambiguity of these two as well :)
