This was absolutely delightful, and reminds me of some of the best holidays I've had with MY best friends. :)

I love the way you characterized all of them, but particularly Sirius - all too often he's shown as a self-centered prat, but here you really get a sense of why his friends loved him.

and I must say, my favorite line in the whole thing was this: "he Flooed in a rush to Diagon Alley, only to discover that most of the male Wizarding population had come to exactly the same conclusion." ;)

Sirius' good qualities were one of the things I really wanted to get across in this story, so I'm glad you picked up on them. And yes, I'm sure wizards are exactly the same as Muggle men. =P

Gorgeous. I love the fact that your Sirius is such a consummate host -- it fits well with what we see in OotP, and I think he does have an aristocratic streak at heart.

And I adore the idea of Lily giving him a copy of Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, not to mention "Magenta Floyd."

Ohmygosh. I loved this! The atmosphere was entirely captivating, and your characterization of Sirius and the other Marauders was spot-on. Amazing story, and you did so well at handling that bitter-sweetness that comes from knowing the end without becoming overly sappy ... brilliant!! :)
