Aww, how sweet! And a lovely, hopeful ending, though I do like how you didn't neglect the darkness in the background, the fear and worry associated with what Lily doesn't know. Also loved that stress about holiday cooking (regardless of what holiday it is) is clearly universal, especially with babies around! ;)

Lovely. Lily's fear and frustration was very believable, she thought she had to all by herself and boys were shopping. But then James was just trying to make something nice.

I liked how happy you made them. Baby Harry and motherly Lily were just sweet.

Wonderfully realized picture of how it must have been for them. The Potter's were so young and like maevemist pointed out, they have less experience with non-magical cooking and cleaning than most their age. The stress is well realized here while still portrayed gracefully enough to make an entertaining story. I adore this glimpse of baby Harry, something of James' charm and a formidable Lily!

I can very well imagine that even after deflating his ego somewhat, James could occasionally, unintentionally, be a little irresponsible - and that Lily would very efficiently whittle him to size. I thought you showed that very nicely here. Of course he'd want to make the best out of a Christmas in hiding, but god James, I'm sure Lily would've preferred having you around instead!

Very sweet Christmas scene - I love reading about James, Lily and Harry as a family (and the other Marauders!) so this was really nice. Was the photograph of Lily & James dancing in autumn leaves a reference to the photograph Harry looks at in one of the movies? :)
