Actual tears in my eyes. This was beautiful and painful and hopeful all at the same time. I'm stunned. Fantastic job.

This is just heartbreaking and beautiful, and the scene with the Death Eater attack was positively harrowing). And somehow ultimately hopeful -- I love that Flitwick never loses his faith in humanity, and his love for people in general, although he had all the reasons in the world to do so. Fantastic characterisation all round!

This is a lovely story, perfect for the fest. Your picture of a young Flitwick and his wife was beautiful, and believable. I could imagine this marriage and life for the man. (I always thought he made the best head of house.) You did a really fine job depicting all the characters, and I was very impressed with the description of the attack. I wish I could write them half so well.
