I'm so glad that you liked this! I was really worried, because I wasn't sure if I had been able to pull Peter (and their frienship) off in this...so it's good to know that it turned out alright in the end. ♥

No, it wasn't meant to by symbolic! I just decided to start with first year, and I knew I wanted to include their seventh year somehow, so I decided to pick the odd ones because I thought it would work better than going with the evens. I thought evens would make it weird, because then we'd be picking up when they're already friends, and I wanted to start off by showing how they became friends. Er. Does that make sense? T_T

Oh, Peter! The last two lines especially were just wrenching. Also great indirect characterisation of James, Sirius, and even Lily alongside the more detailed sketches of Peter and Remus. Well done!
