Lovely! It's great to see how it could've been from the Muggle PM's point of view ... you did such a great job of showing the confusion and terror and oh, his earnest desire to help. Fabulous story!

Oh, thank you! It's wonderful. I love the Prime Minister's perspective, especially the insight into how incredibly stupid the Harry-as-our-master-weapon plan would sound to an "outsider." I also love the idea that the muggle Prime Minister had his own role in the war effort--helping to smuggle out muggleborns. It's a great idea, and not something I've come across yet. Awesome job! Thanks so much!

I'm so glad you liked it. I saw your prompt and immediately wanted to do this, even though my idea was a little insane. And, as someone who had no idea as to what was going on, I would think the Muggle PM would think they were all stark raving insane for sending a 17 year old out to fight the bad guy.

This is fantastic. You've taken this minor character and extrapolated him so believably, and in a way that makes me empathise with him so much - JKR portrayed him as skeptical, a typical politician, but not a complete idiot, and you've slam-dunked all of that in his words and actions. The discussion about strategies, and the compassion he shows for the dying folk - oh, you've made me love this character so much.

There was hope. In a boy he knew very little about, there was hope.

That made me gasp a little. Absolutely amazing. You've taken the reader through a journey where I really did see the war through his eyes... and the ending with Kingsley - the hope following devastation... wonderful.

Bravo, and thanks for sharing this wonderful story!

He's such a quirky guy in HBP and I wanted to do justice to him, so I am so glad that you think I have. I wanted to make him a lot more than some two-dimensional guy. Also, I wanted to take the war out of the entire magic community and filter it through someone who really had no idea what was going on.

It will be a very interesting time with these two working together post-war.
