I've always wanted more of Remus' spin on things that happened directly after the first war and this just...feels so right. I like all the murkiness and how things don't fit and the realization - but at the same time, the real aversion to actually trying to puzzle things out because it is painful.

Also, 1,000 literary bonus points for connecting the House of Black to "The Hollow Men." That made my day. :)

Oh, lovely, lovely. I think you fulfilled the prompt very well. There are some heavy moments here, but you pull it off without descending into melodrama. The dialogue flows so well, and the alternating wit and intensity and the little verbal dances in the early bit.

There's such a satisfaction I feel at the ending, a hopefulness despite the memories of pain and loss. Thanks for a great read, Mystery Author!

Thank you very much! It took awhile for me to figure out exactly what Remus and Andromeda's interaction could be, based on what little we saw in Deathly Hallows.

Oh my, but this is lovely. I wouldn't have thought to put these two characters together, but they do have Sirius and Tonks connecting them, and you've extrapolated on the potential energy between them very nicely. I like the foreshawdowing -- lightly, of Remus/Tonks, and darkly, of the truth about Sirius and Peter.

Oh, this is fabulous. Understated and quietly sad -- the little details like Nymphadora dressing up the cat really make the story. A lovely coda to your novel-length fic, if you are who I think you are, and if not, I hope to read more from you.
