Aww! What a sweet, wonderful, realistic scene. I really enjoy seeing Cho as a real person, who has faults, but also clearly has a good side. Too often she gets thrown into the "evil bitch" category and left there. It was really nice to see the other side of her, and it was delightful to see Davies fleshed out as real person as well.

Thank you so much for this beautiful piece!

Heh. Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! I can never see why Cho gets bashed either. (Well, alright, I can, she got in the way of other Harry ships. :D)

Aw, very nice! Cho comes across here as a teenage girl--that acute self-consciousness, and the blinders that went up after Cedric's death that only start coming down once it's been pointed out to her by someone else...well, it felt very realistic to me. :) The friendship dynamic between her and Roger is written well, too. And her resolve and determination at the end of the story! Nice job!

Thank you -- glad it felt right for Cho. As I say, for some reason I quite like both these characters. :)

it was probably as much me fancying myself as the big protective bloke you needed

How very perceptive and honest. I enjoyed this. At the start I wasn't sure that Roger would be that honest and open - it's quite an emotional conversation for a bloke - but I guess you would actually know. I had no idea who'd written it, of course!

Oh dear -- I was worried I was making Roger too supportive, but I was a bit rushed, and some of us can make an effort sometimes. :)

However, with the line you mentioned I was trying to say that his girlfriend (supposed to be the blonde one he was with in Madam Puddifoots) was the one who had the perceptiveness about what he was doing, and eventually got the idea across to him. :D

I did actually tidy this up a bit a few days later to post at FFN, including a rewrite of that paragraph; that's the version that should eventually end up at FA (possibly elsewhere, I suppose).
