how achingly sweet. I love stories with Regulus in them. And only Sirius would run away from a circus, when it's the place where people usually run to.

Oh, heavens, this is made of brilliance. :) I definitely didn't expect this at all, which makes it all the more wonderful, and it works so very well -- love the way that even in this completely AU scenario, the characters actually stay reasonably true to the personalities they have in the books (or, well, probably have, in Regulus's case), and. Er. I'm rambling uselessly now, but essentially: thank you, Mystery Author; this is completely fabulous, and I adore it very much.

I started reading this and thought, "No way is this going to work," but then it did! I loved the ending especially.

Damn, that one really had me tearing up - it *hurts*, it's so beautiful. Poor Regulus, left behind, and only half of a pair. The title says it so very well. Usually, non-magic AUs aren't my thing so much, but this sucked me in from the first line. The Black brothers as trapeze artists... it's *different*, and it's still a great metapher for the way they're balancing between the two 'worlds' in canon, always on the edge, and both ultimately dying from it. Lovely ( ... )

It *was* so brilliant - hit right home with me despite existing prejudices (against marauders and magicless AUs), and fics that get me in spite rather than because are usually the best :).

And my first thought about authorship was fleshdress. If I had known you're participating, I might have gotten it right, though :).
