I am amazed. I love dialog pieces, and the language here is so striking. It's just like listening in at a keyhole.

Favorite lines--“Ah, nothing says ‘I love you, Mudblood’ like a mutilated vegetable.” I laughed out loud :)
“Do you remember, Sir?”
“Of course. I have nothing to do but remember.” The entire final exchange nearly made me cry.

I am struck by how very much you were able to get into such a small space. This piece reminds me of the things I love about drabbles. Thank you.

I have to agree with the others that the “Ah, nothing says ‘I love you, Mudblood’ like a mutilated vegetable.” is absolutely wonderful...but I actually like the next line even better - I can so hear a young SS saying it!
