I loved to see Minerva after everyone is asleep. Nicely done.

I like the contrast between the children's feast, and Minerva wholehartedly approving of the sugar overload, and her own celebration.

And the juxtaposition of Halloween and Samhain.

I adore fics of any size that touch upon Minerva's more sensitive, softer side and this drabble delivers. That last sentence, in particular, really hits you where it hurts, but it also makes it clear that McGonagall's stern demeanour derives from the deep well of sorrow she keeps bottled within.
