I do love "sentient Hogwarts," and this one is so lovely and cozy. The students are lucky to have Minerva to look after them, and Minerva is lucky to have the castle. Nicely done!

You pack a lot of story into a short space! The idea of the "malignant souls" makes spooky sense and provides a great contrast to the wonderful image of the cozy, book-lined room and the Castle's approbation.
