You really captured the complexity of Draco here in an excellent and heart-breaking way. The causalities of war don't number only in body-count, but also in the way it can sink into minds and change the way one thinks. It's hard to watch Draco trying to process all of this: his lot, Harry's lot, his family's lot, what he wants, what he needs to do, what Harry wants and needs. Really powerful stuff.
