Watercolours and snow

Dec 29, 2005 14:01

It's finally started to snow for real, and my garden looks like a scene out of the Narnia movie - big, fat, fluffy snowflakes are whirling around in the air.

I finished my long suffering watercolour of Sprout's office, which I began working on ages ago for the challenge over on hp_details. Well, here it is:

They ar both really really lovely. I love your watercolouring, it is done so well. Especially the snowman and hedwig. I love the chair for some mad mad reason in Snout's office.

I kind of like that chair myself. That's one of the nice things when drawing - you can make stuff exactly to fit your fancy ;D

The owl was really supposed to be Pigwidgeon, but I can see now that I made him too big... Oh, well :)

Glad you liked them & thanks for your comment :)

OMG! This is so perfect *is jealous of your awesome watercolouring abilities*! I absolutely love it, especially the snowman, which in my opinion seems harder to pain than the first painting. Wow, it's lovely. Well done.

Thank you!

The snowman was a lot easier to paint - simple scene and lots of bare paper, and the tree is done from life which I guess I'm a lot better at really *lol*

Both so wonderful, Ea! That chair is amazing, as are all the details of the plants. In the second piece, I especially love the birch and Pig's wings. both have such a delicate beauty about them so prevalent in your art ♥

I've seen a chair like that somewhere - like a regular office type swivel chair, but all in wood - and I fell in love with it. It seemed like the perfect chair for Sprout's office ;)
Thank you - what a lovely thing to say :">
