Ah, Snape is such a lonely man, it's nice to think he had someone close to him, even in such a terrible period in his life - the impression I always got from canon is that he never had a real friend except for Lily, and that is rather a depressing thought!

It's nice to see some humanity from the Death Eaters!
They were not all crazy or evil to the core, but people who were able to love and be loved in return - not that this excuses their horrible actions, of course.
