These pictures of friendships despite everything that goes on are very convincing. Amelia's voice, particularly, is beautifully done, and the younger Scrimgeour so clearly shows the kind of man he will be in later years.

Blaming Dumbledore or Edgar would be easier, but that would be putting personal opinion above fact. A great Amelia line.

The detail of the screaming watch is brilliant.

I love the friendship between these two, and Robards as wonderful. It is a well told story that makes one feels that they were really there.

I really enjoy fics like this one, that get down to the nitty-gritty of wizarding politics and show us exactly what our favorite characters would be like as they go about their complex and dangerous work. All the characterizations ring true. I'm particularly partial to Minerva's and Amelia's friendship. That scene in St. Mungo's is just how I imagine two old, pragmatic friends would talk, with years of shared experiences and understandings. A good read; thank you.

I couldn't agree more about fic enjoyment, and interestingly the Mungo's scene probably had the best writing flow, and required the least amount of editing.
Thank you for taking the time to comment!

Bravo for tackling head on the tension that must have arisen around the vigilantism of the Order. A great read--thanks! M.
