Thank you! I felt that Snape would understand hating himself and the world better than most people, but have enough of his own need to exploit Harry's - I'm still not sure if he knows he's hurting him or really thinks he is helping.

oh my god. that's...perfect. it's way more articulate than i've ever been about cutting -- that the bloodletting will set me free.

this story hurts. and snape's an utter bastard, even if he is helping harry back to normalcy.

*hugs* I know cutting is a hard thing for most people to talk or write about, so I tried to be sensitive about how it felt, for Harry. I'm glad that you feel it was spot-on. Not an easy thing to go through.

Everything about this story was spot on for me - Harry's self-abuse and messed up mental state, Snape's mixture of concern for Lily's child and his own selfish desires, and the final bit... just, 'whoa'. Brava.
